I spoke with the bus garage boss and he said both of the above buses were pulled from service not too long ago and would have no problem driving to get them home. The have other buses listed as well. Auction ends in 16hrs (approx 3:00pm Tues)

I know, the shortie is the one I really want but I'm not financially ready right now to make the purchase. I would have purchased the shortie or the Amtran though after talking to the garage boss about the condition of both. Basically he said both were road ready and should have no problems driving the 300+ miles across the state to get them home. They are being sold just due to age. I'd love that shortie with a manual trans!

Wow, the Bluebird sold for only $1765 and the Amtran for only $860! Great deal for two ready to drive buses. If a dealer bought them they'll turn around and flip them for $4000-$8000. Geez I wish I had more $$$$$ and a large place to store these things!
I WAS the high bidder on the shorty with the manual. Unfortunately, I went to St Augustine today and got back a little late and was outbid by $25. Damn.
