About to buy this one. What do you guys think?

About to buy a 1996 International 3600 short bus. Seems to be exactly what I want and is in excellent condition. Haven't seen it yet, though. Here's the details:

- 7.3 L 444 CID V8 Diesel Turbo
- 13xxxx miles
- Clean title
- Automatic
- New Shocks, Glow plugs and relay, tires, batteries, Drive Belt
- Solar, Freezer, Woodburner, power inverter included
- Already gutted and insulated
- Recently checked by a mechanic

7500$

Any advice on that make/model? What should I ask before pulling the trigger? It's a bit far from me, So I would pay a reserve and go to pick it up. Wanna get as many questions answered before taking that leap of faith.

Does anyone have a similar bus in California and can tell me about registration and insurance there?

Thanks!

Check out my bus! Asking for 5k. Sounds the same as the one you're currently looking at, except it's 1997 Micro Bird and I haven't insulated it. I'm in Dallas TX

To answer your OP, 7k sounds like a lot to me, especially when it's current state is just gutted. Someone else, correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Do you have photos?

Might be, considering some manage to get the bus at an auction for around 2k. another 1-2k for insulation. It's also not yellow, so i don't have to paint it as well. I probably could get it to this stage with 4-5k and time. It's worth it to me. Looked at other converted ones that needed added insulation, bathroom and stove (altogether around 3k I guess), and they were at 12k and 16k on sale. So this sounds good to me in relation to work already done, time saved and equipment included.

I'm in Stuttgart, 1,5h (german highway speed time ) away from Darmstadt.
