I dunno, with what he did to it, and the condition it's in.... he'll probably get the 35k he's asking, or close to it.

I myself wouldn't give that much for it, but somebody somewhere possibly will.

As a level 1 burglar, Bilbo got a pony when he accompanied the level 60 dwarves on the Smaug the Dragon raid. Those powerlevelers probably invited him solely so he could trigger fellowship attacks for them.

several years ago I saw some VW campers that must have been some rare production or something. They went for over 100k each... VW collectors are ze craziest peoples.

I've seen em fetch six figures.
I used to LOVE VW buses. I've owned several. But the prices of them are silly, and I no longer care about them.

well look at the price of achool busses these days... heck i remember just a few years ago you could give someone a grand and have a pretty darn nice bus.. and it wasnt THAT long ago...

while there are stories of super bus deals happening, we see them occasionally here, its sure not like it was 10 or even 5 years ago though..

I doubt if a serious VW collector would even look at it with a Subaru engine. To me that's the best part, anything to get rid of the old air cooled lump.

every vw bus built was woefully under powered. the Subbie transplant gives them the power to drive in today's traffic. it's a beauty, but alas, i throw my money at my bus.

40 HP was the originals I think.. and I agree a true collector wont want it with a transplant... MAYBE if the original true-to-vin erngoine was included a cllector MIGHT take it knowing they could make the vehicle original.. but likely too much cut N fab was done to put that SUBI engine in it..
