Wouldn't go near the motor for that money, but depending on which tranny it is, well worth the money.

goodnight,

william
Got any pics of the transmission?
A 6 speed auto on a 12v would be uncommon.

seems off like ECCB says for a 12V to have had a 6 speed.. must be an MD3060 if it was on the same bus.. useless without the harness and TCM

the TCM computer is what limits it... you could buy another TCM computer that has J1939 throttle and 6 gears programmed and make your MD3060 a 6 speed at anytime...

More then likely the clown doesn't know what he has.

Most likely it's the at545 that came behind most 12v 5.9 cummins.

If someone has a "6 speed allison" for sale, they'll likely elaborate on as to what they have. Whether it be a 1000, 2000, 2500, MD3060, etc. They're rarely listed as a 6 speed allison unless you're dealing with the duramax crowd.

I'm going to believe that the seller is clueless. Especially since the 5.9 12v and allison came from the same bus, and he's only asking 500 for the allison.

Even more odd is the fact that he doesn't have pictures. As easy as they are to take, I don't think I'd sell anything without a few.

Yeah my post was mostly sarcasm... A MD 3060 seems like overkill for a 5.9 but i guess they can be ordered that way. I have never seen that combo in all the buses i looked at.

It is pretty heavy duty for the kind of power that a 5.9 makes but having 5 or 6 forward gears would be advantageous. The folks that I have run across in larger buses, that have the 5.9 and are happy with it , all have 5/6 speed transmissions. Mostly MD3060's.
