My alternator died and I remember Christopher mentioned one he liked- 200 SB by
Bosch. I found the one he spoke of... and a few more !
These Bosch Long Haul alternators really are amazing. They are smaller than the old units, so they fit easier and cool better. They produce more power than most stock bus alternators- 200 amps and 120 amps @ idle !They also produce it power sooner, at lower RPM's. Installation was a breeze.
These are
universal alternators in that they can be hooked-up with 1, 2 or 3 wires. They have an extra +Battery output, 1 of each terminal post size so it will fit! Easy to add a dummy light or tach, if you want

There are basically 2 styles of alternator mounting for the majority of our buses. 3-hole(J-180) and 4-hole (Pad-Mount). See if this fits your application. You will reuse your old belt pulley. Sometimes, they can be stubborn- free puller loaner tools available at auto parts store. Other option I use is buy new pulley and keep old alternator as spare- ready to mount.
These are new, in the box and sitting in my bus. These commercial-grade alternators typically come w/ a 2-year 200,000 mi warranty but I cannot honor as am not dealer, so-
no warranty. I know all you shade tree mechanics are not ASE certified, so I'm not taking any (fried) returns. It's new- don't drop it- have fun.
I have whatever is in the pics, first come, first served.
$230/ea- Paypal is fine. PM me if interested. $20 to ship, double-boxed. Will not make it by X-mas
order 2 or more & get free shipping.

Note: There are actually 3-styles, but one is a very subtle variation of the other- the 3-hole mount sometimes has the third mounting hole 3/4" away. If that hole is fixed (cast piece), then will not work. If it is a bolted bracket, then you can adjust the bracket (loosen/swing) and it will work. Documentation says these don't fit 5.9L Cummins, but I adjusted bracket and it works fine, mounted quickly and easily.
My old alternator was a Leece-Neville dinosaur which
used to be great brand, is now
crap.
Get rid of that alternator if you have it- regulator goes bad, voltage spikes, and fries engine $computer$, like it did on mine.
Big one: 160 amps
little one: 200 amps
I have: 3-J and 5 Pad mounts avail
