Smile Bosch 200 amp alternator SALE ! Save Huuuuuge

My alternator died and I remember Christopher mentioned one he liked- 200 SB by Bosch. I found the one he spoke of... and a few more !

These Bosch Long Haul alternators really are amazing. They are smaller than the old units, so they fit easier and cool better. They produce more power than most stock bus alternators- 200 amps and 120 amps @ idle !They also produce it power sooner, at lower RPM's. Installation was a breeze.

These are universal alternators in that they can be hooked-up with 1, 2 or 3 wires. They have an extra +Battery output, 1 of each terminal post size so it will fit! Easy to add a dummy light or tach, if you want

There are basically 2 styles of alternator mounting for the majority of our buses. 3-hole(J-180) and 4-hole (Pad-Mount). See if this fits your application. You will reuse your old belt pulley. Sometimes, they can be stubborn- free puller loaner tools available at auto parts store. Other option I use is buy new pulley and keep old alternator as spare- ready to mount.

These are new, in the box and sitting in my bus. These commercial-grade alternators typically come w/ a 2-year 200,000 mi warranty but I cannot honor as am not dealer, so- no warranty. I know all you shade tree mechanics are not ASE certified, so I'm not taking any (fried) returns. It's new- don't drop it- have fun.

I have whatever is in the pics, first come, first served. $230/ea- Paypal is fine. PM me if interested. $20 to ship, double-boxed. Will not make it by X-mas order 2 or more & get free shipping.

O'Rielly

Note: There are actually 3-styles, but one is a very subtle variation of the other- the 3-hole mount sometimes has the third mounting hole 3/4" away. If that hole is fixed (cast piece), then will not work. If it is a bolted bracket, then you can adjust the bracket (loosen/swing) and it will work. Documentation says these don't fit 5.9L Cummins, but I adjusted bracket and it works fine, mounted quickly and easily.

My old alternator was a Leece-Neville dinosaur which used to be great brand, is now crap. Get rid of that alternator if you have it- regulator goes bad, voltage spikes, and fries engine $computer$, like it did on mine.

Big one: 160 amps
little one: 200 amps

ive been running one of these in my DEV bus for the last 18 months... it charges the 2 main bats plus my 2 house bats.. I can drive down the road with both Engine A/C's on (big 3 condensor fans, plus 2 big indoor fans).. and also have a 3rd unit. (12000 BTU inverter portable A/C{120 volt electric about 1000 watts}). and the alternator keeps up as long as my engine is 1000 RPM or higher.. at below 1000 it starts to roll off a bit when I have all those units on, ive run several hours this way on 95 degree days and didnt over-heat the alternator.

You are the one that introduced me to them. They are gorgeous. They changed the shape of the wire is how they make them smaller. Eliminate gaps between rounds- clever.

I need this vehicle to be reliable, too big to tow.

Rusty , just saw this, any of the ones you have 24 Volt? I would need the J180 mount.
Ditto on the leese neville, right in the middle of that.

If you take 2, you could get 24 volts....

These are just regular 12V units- well, mine gives 13.96v

Happy Holidays !!!!

No more J180

No more J180 mount units left, only few of the pad mount units that fit the DT466 and 1000's of other applications !

BrokeDown got the last 2 !!! Thanks BrokeDown!!
