BUS??

We have been looking for years for a bus and can't find the right bus. What about this one, how much is it really worth in some of your expert opinions, because we have no idea, and would it be hard to find another one like it? It would be a cross country trip, we are in al, and I don't know if it would be worth it to go get it. It has everything we think would be important, but it is out of our budget, BIG time. We are soo ready to find a bus, though. We really wanted one with a lot done, but we can't find one with everything the way we want it. Just wanted to know what some bus people thought.

What news clip is that?

I noticed that the backs of Thomas buses in Omaha (active fleet) have rust more often than Internationals operated by the same company. Even way up high, like on the top of the emergency door! Omaha is a rust belt because of salt on the streets in winter.

Re: BUS??

Whoa! This is need to know stuff! I will definitely look for one with horse feathers in it... Really though, we are at the searching hard phase and we have been looking casually for a long time. The reason we are looking at a bus out of our price range is because I like to dicker and I know those dealers can come off that price some, just don't know how much. But, yep, if it's worth 8 then we are still too high. We are looking for a rear engine, good mpg, full size, bus with storage bays hopefully for around 5k. That might be crazy, I don't know. It doesn't have to be an 8.3, but I would like to get good mileage and not have to put an engine in it right off. We looked at a 3116 and it had 11,xxx hrs on it. I don't know a lot about engines, but I thought it seemed like a lot. And I have read negative on those. Anyway, that's what we are looking for, maybe around here (al, ga, ms, fl) searched cl, ebay, public surplus, and govdeals.. Thanks for all the info!!
