Well they were there: I've tried to contact my cousin who is the founder of Kestral. The family name is Sandusky. They all went to school there in Vacaville. Did the 4H thing. I can't recall the name of the Road they lived on, I want to say it was Timm's Road or Lane or something like that................I was only there one time. But the 40 Acres of Studebakers is a true story. My uncle Sandy Sandusky............I saw them and he had every imaginable variation, with his most prized ones protected in the barn.

Like I said the family name is Sandusky......he has passed. But he had like 9 Kids. So I expect this property may still be in the family.

All very nice looking buses.
They shouldn't tease with the crown in the opening slideshow though.

I just checked these Coaches...............these are Thomas West Coasters..........these were designed specifically to go up against Crown...........These buses of Course aren't Crowns............and they are disadvantaged in that they have the CAT:

But these West Coasters, in my opinion, have a build quality that far exceeds anything Thomas builds today.............The West Coaster may in fact be, again, my opinion, the Best Coaches Thomas ever built. Much better quality that the Safe-T-Liner..............And of course.........down the Road a 6V92 in the back of one of these baby's would be pretty sweet.............

I'd advise you Skoolie Folks to check those Coaches out............though they have sat too long.........and are underpowered.............you could do a hell of a lot worse than have one of these as your platform to build.............
