The bus is a 2005 International Freightliner. Its diesel, Mercedes Benz engine has 200k miles on it and runs perfectly. Recently serviced and fully checked by a professional diesel mechanic.

Did you locate extra emergency exit windows for your build, or did you just reposition your existing exit windows? I wish I could do all-exit windows in my bus but none of the bus pick-it junk yards are anywhere near me.

Yep, we relocated the emergency exits when we pulled every window out to clean and reseal them. It was a ton of work but worth it!

Hi, what thread? Perhaps I missed it or it was a different bus? Yep, it's $55k and worth every penny I forgot to mention that the bus comes with a microwave, toaster oven, electric skillet and instapot. We valued the counter space over a fixed stove / oven and this setup has worked well for us. We cook awesome meals using only solar every day.

It was a separate thread on E windows. I was wondering what they were from. Now I see the make and model of your bus I can search for some. Your build is very nice, I think $55K is optimistic and while it may be worth every penny of it to you, I'd be surprised to see you get anywhere near that. I've never seen a Skoolie priced so high and I've seen some nicer ones for way less. Your in the wrong forum to ask that kind of money. I hope you get near your asking price, it will make me fell better about the ROI on mine.

I’m gonna go on a limb and say “no”. $55k around here gets a 2017 Class A motor coach with 20k miles. Very very beautiful bus though!!

6'5" interior height with no roof raise means no insulation at all on the floor. And a 200K Mercedes Benz engine to boot. If this bus sold for anything close to $55K I'm going into the skoolie-building business.

We had 1/2" of insulation, 1/2" of plywood and 3/8" finished flooring on the floor and we found it to be adequate. With our propane heater we were able to keep it comfortably in the 60's when it was freezing outside. The floor was slightly chilly when it was freezing out, slippers did the trick

Yep, we got close to the asking price and are happy but even at that I wouldn't go into the bus building business. Maybe you're a faster worker than I but the vast amount of time invested is... a lot.
