$5K isn't too much. A nice pusher is $3500 on a good day and these had big engines. No-rust 40 year bus....not bad deal.

What did Crown's cost new??? I heard they were double a Blue Bird.

They're officially the "split window buses" of the school bus world. Like with VW's- too expensive for the common enthusiast and heavily concentrated in Cali.

I want you bookmark that post and come back in 5 years, then compare the prices. Then you will see how the parabola works.

all depends on the trends.. once the tiny-home fad fades ( and it will once the HGTV shows start showing Big houses again).. they wont be able to give school busses away....really esp when the scrap steel price tanks as more and more automakers experiment with aluminum and fiberglass lightweight bodies / frames / etc..
even new materials are being produced that take the place of steel beams and studs in contruction are being neared towards production.

school busses are about 10 years behind in technology.. in some areas even more.. other than a computer on the engine or the brakes.. busses today are Little changed from what they were 50 years ago...

That slammed bus is awesome. It would have to be pretty much empty for the chi town area. Considering how crap the roads are. I always thought tolls were suppised to pay for roads. Hmmm

You don't hang with PTO moms or School Boards much, Im guessing. You need to 'think of the children'.

We'll see what you are told to believe AFTER the wedding, which we are ALL coming to, BTW.

You ARE ALL invited! We are also considering having a bus rally, or finding one to attend around that time. March 10th is the BIG DAY! Going to have as Scottish a wedding as we can muster. I'm wearing TRADITIONAL Scottish formal wear!
I'll even have a use for my great-grandad's Morrison monogrammed Tiffany cuff links!

We've lived together since 2011, I don't see any changes to out non-breeding program. Maybe if my business takes off and I become a millionaire. But I doubt it.

how fun!! but I dont plan to wear a kilt.. can anyone play the pipes?

ha!! make a bus rally!! wouldnt it be fun to have a parade of busses going from the wedding to the reception!! if your busses are sold and you dont have another, we'll use mine.

March 10th!! a VERY positive day in my past life.. and a Positive day in your future!! how cool you chose it!!!

Nice!
That was all Roxy's doing. I stay out of it as much as possible. But buses would be VERY cool!
I'll ALWAYS have at least one bus, don't worry!!

And no worries on the Kilt- they're totally optional, man.
