cummings diesel engine 27 hp for sale

I have a cummings diesel engine 27 horsepower, it came out of a school bus that used it as a stand alone ac system. engine runs well no smoke is a completely self contained except for fuel tank and battery. was going to use it to put a genset on for my rv but i found a 8kw onan diesel at a bargain( can't pass it up ) price so i used it instead. so now I need to get rid of this one call happy camper at 8777551936 i am in tyler texas area pick up or shipping extra this engine new is $7500.00 i don't know how old it is, it has 833 hours on the hour meter. so I will entertain any reasonable offer as I have a figure around $3000.00 in mind. might consider a trade for something not sure.

There's no 'g' in cummins and no way you're gettin more than 1000 for that piece. I could buy a whole bus 1.5 times over for that number in your head!

I concur with Charles, it's a buyer's market, not a seller's market. $1K is most likely your top dollar. Not trying to be a downer, just a reality check.

I was an a farm tractor show a while back, they had what they were calling "doodlebug"
it is basicly home made tractors which originally started during the war when comercial tractors were not avalable, people would re gear cars and trucks with multiple transmissions and big tires and wheel weights and BLABLABLA?
it seems that people are now making homemade tractors as there were several of these made with more modern engines and toyota parts and what not.
I remember seeing a little cummins and one other brand but do not remember that the guy said he got from a city bus.

a pretty good market for the small diesel engines for power plants and small feed mills and such.

It's a cool motor. I'm sure you'll find a buyer for it. And there still won't be a "g" in Cummins.
