Delco Remy High amp pad style alternators

I came across a very odd deal and decided to buy all of them even though my bus takes a J180 long type alternator.

I have 3 Delco Remey 320 amp 12 volt continuous duty alternators. The model number is 8600298 if you look at the delco site.

This units are considered refurbished as they are new but have been installed and removed. They have never has a pulley put on them but you can see the scratches from where a nut was tightened to the base.

I had these units tested at Fort Worth Starter and Generator for proper operation. So much that the owner asked if I was going to sell one and I told him sure. So you can verify this story with him if you have any questions.

This units retail anywhere from 950 to 1300 but I am asking 500 each. I posted them to a couple of bus groups on FB and got a so so response but no takers. If interested message me... I think I should get a email alert if you do. I will check on here for info but PM will be the preferred method.

I will ship anywhere you want with no additional mark up. What the shipping place charges me is what you will pay plus the cost of the unit.

Howdy neighbor! Too bad we already have our secondary alternator!

It looks like you have more than 3 units, based on the third picture.

Not too bad a price considering this is the best that I have found. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008Y3P76W...v_ov_lig_dp_it

Those are great, powerful alternators. Wish they would fit the 7.3L Powerstroke block.
If they fit your bus, grab 'em while you can.

They do not fit my bus either but was too good of a deal to pass up. I'm going to try and fab up a bracket to use it as a second alt.

I bought 7 of them and have a few left over. That's why the pic shows more than I have.

Not a bad unit but not sure that's a continuous duty model? One other thing is these are brushless units. This is the 40si model so it's the barest of the bad in a very good way
