Up for sale is my 1996 International/AmTran tailgating bus. This is the third one we’ve built, and they've each gotten progressively bigger until we finally over did it. Time to start over and downsize.
This bus started life as a 72 passenger school bus, RE3000 with a T444E engine rated at 190 hp and what I believe to be an Allison 545 transmission. It runs great and has never let us down while traveling throughout the concert and sports venues in CT, MA and NY. It’s registered as an RV in Connecticut.
There is a fold out porch on the passenger side and fold up railings to create a good sized deck on the roof. There’s also a 20’ Balboa sailboat up there for added fun. Interior is tastefully (?) done up in bright orange and I guess what one could call turquoise. The workmanship is what could best be described as rustic, a lot of 2x4s and plywood as it was never intended to be a finely finished vehicle, just lots and lots of fun. There’s plenty of life left as a tailgater, or it could be gutted and be the start of a conversion.
If it doesn’t sell I’ll probably just strip it down, use what I can on the next bus, and sell it for scrap, which is what happened to the last two.
I’m open to any offer, whatever I get for it will offset the cost of the next bus. I'm also looking for a very inexpensive smaller bus for the next version should anyone have one for sale. Any questions or for more info you can email me directly at

Thanks for looking - Eric
