For Sale 2001 Blue Bird TC-1000

Great flat nose 26’ TC-1000. 221,000 miles. Front engine, 24 valve 5.9 l Cummins diesel. 4 speed Allison automatic transmission. Airbrakes, new tires, mechanically sound. Short wheel base, very maneuverable. Cruise control. Likes going 60-65 on freeway. Huge rear commercial air conditioner keeps it very comfortable in summertime. Has working wheelchair lift. Just had it painted and two roof fans installed. Pics don’t show the color very well, but the body is antique burgundy and the roof is a creamy beige. This little beauty needs to be finished, I started and have run out of time. Located in Asheville, NC. Got over $10,000.00 invested. In the process of registration as an RV

Darn. Looks like what I'm looking for. Just out of my budget.

$6500. I wish I could do more. Especially since this really looks like everything I'm after.

How does the Cummins 5.9 feel? Under powered at all? And by the way what kind of Allison transmission?

It’s not bad at all.... cruises right along. Being a short and lighter bus probably helps I reckon. I don’t know which transmission it is other than a 4 sod. Allison. What’s an easy way to find out?

I’ve been looking at internationals.
Usually dealers might not
Know and sometimes auction sites don’t post any real info besides the vin.
I’ve called international dealers . Gave them the last 8 of the vin and ask for a lst number (line system tracking ) or something like that. Either way with the last 8 of the vin they can pull it up on the computer and tell you.
You might have the at4050
Those are 4 speeds and a lighter duty application . All I have seen has mostly been the same.

I'll bet $50 its a 545. Every TC1000 I've ever seen or heard about had one.
