For Sale !997 Bluebird International 3800 School Bus

Hi, my name is Paul. Im selling my 1997 Bluebird International School Bus.

Private owner. This bus is gorgeous, turn-key, needs nothing. Get in and go! Starts right up, strong engine, drives straight and smooth. Not a dent on her, paint is superb (no need to paint a yellow bus.) The bus is equipped with a Navistar V8 T444E turbo diesel, 4 speed Allison automatic transmission with only 128k miles. This is a million mile engine. Most importantly for Florida, bus has TWO ice cold air conditioners that work fantastic. Tires are good, all electronics and lights work perfectly. Air brakes and air cushioned drivers seat. Comes with extra seats if looking to replace some seats with leather wearing.

Bought bus about a month ago to do a Schoolie Conversion but decided on an RV.

So, if you are a church looking for a new bus, or a couple planning a Schoolie conversion, or want that great tailgate party bus...this is it!

Asking $6,800.

Feel free to call or text.

Typically here, that would be a $2k bus.

In my case $2500

UR correct 01marc.

In my case I paid $2500.00 for a 1998. However, the OP bus has a nice looking paint job. That's worth a few extra dollars in my book. Good paint is not cheap these days. My bus is so fugly right now.

thanks for posting - I like the white bus!

T444E in a school bus is NOT a "million mile motor". Its identical sibling the 7.3 Powerstroke seems to fare better in the Ford trucks.

Well I do thank you all. I'm not a bus expert but I do know the bus is very nice and drives great. Just need to sell. Don't have the time right now to convert her and I know diesels like to be driven. Had bus completely checked out by diesel mechanic. Strong bus.

So I'm highly negotiable

We actually recently made a rule about not allowing for sale ads claiming to have a "holy grail" or "million mile" engine. More info here: http://www.skoolie.net/forums/f14/new-rule-28629.html

The T444E is a good motor, but it's not a "million mile" engine, it's not a "holy grail". It is not the engine all the truckers want. And if your 4 speed automatic is an AT545 you have the lowest tier drivetrain available in a bus without being silly and considering gas motors.

Put your transmission serial number in here and it will tell you which transmission you have. https://www.allisontransmission.com/...y-transmission
