Ford 7.3 turbo diesel engine price ???

How much would a Ford 7.3 turbo diesel engine sell for?
111k miles.

Some dude on Craigslist offer me 2k for it.

Remanufactured they are $10K or so. Good used are about $5-6K.

With the number of Ford pick ups with the 7.3 in them in the millions-and the amount now rusted out, they aren't hard to find on CL. I paid $750 for one-and seen plenty of others for $1000-$1500. So I suppose $2k is reasonable.

2k sounds pretty reasonable here in KS too... I routinely see 7.3l powerstrokes sell for 750-1500 in decent shape.

Hey Christopher,
I'm just checking all my option. Putting more money on the bus vs selling it.

Just like the comments here, engine price goes all over. I've seen them for less than 1k but high milage.
Also, I've been told the chair lift is between 400-800. But now idea who would buy it.

Thank you all,
Raul

I'll tell ya one thing-if someone offered me $2k for the engine-or $1500 for the whole bus, I'd sell the bus. I did an engine swap on mine. I've been a mechanic my whole life-for a living and off the clock. And it was BY FAR the worst job I've ever done.

Just be glad it wasn't a 6.0!

My hat is off to you, sir. Vans are a real PITA to work on.
