heat exchanger and two seats needed !

Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you, that have converted to other methods of heating your skoolie, have any of the middle or rear heat exchangers sitting around. The people who owned my skoolie before me took out the rear one and just u-jointed the hose.

Also, if anyone has a couple of seats (would prefer the darker green) I am wanting to extend my seating pit back. Not to be picky, but those half seats would be SWEET.

Otherwise its off to the graveyard again and see what I can dredge up.

Thanks in advance for any help or leads on this !

Bus heaters

When I was thinking of additional heaters for the CrownI went to E-Bay and found a couple. It wouldn't hurt to look.

I've got a couple of large underseat heaters I removed from my '79 Blue Bird but, my gosh, they've gotta weigh 50 pounds each; I think shipping would be a killer. Yours for the taking if you want them but I'd sure look around locally first.

I have the rear/underseat heater from my 1993 International AmTran/Genesis school bus, ready to go to the dump this weekend.
If you want it, let me know before Sunday. Guessing it weighs around 25-30 lbs. Can get measurements & pics later if interested. I'll let it go for the cost of shipping.

Located in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Thanks
Sean

OK, I'll take some pictures tomorrow (Saturday) morning with measurements & post a link to them. There is a high/low option at the driver's console, so I imagine it's 2 speed.

EDIT: Saturday sort of slipped away...lots of progress on the bus though. Will do the photos & measurements tomorrow.

Will be in touch.

Hi-

The heater measurements are:
Length: 24"
Width: 11 3/8"
Depth (height): 9"

Here are links to the pictures of the heater:

http://personal.riverusers.com/~sean...s/IM000039.JPG

I bent & cable-tied the length of hose remaining on the heater. I'll even throw in the 15' or so of red & black wire that went to the heater; It's in great shape since it was in conduit and protected from the elements.

The rust is surface rust only. I guess it's in average shape for a 12-year old school bus heater.

Let me know if you want to proceed.

Thanks
Sean

Just wanted to bump this back up to see if there was any interest in the heat exchanger. Yours for the cost of shipping.

I also have a Ricon wheelchair lift available. Works, some surface rust on the base, but nothing serious. Looking to get a couple hundred for it. Again, this is from a 1993 school bus, de-commissioned in June of 2004.

Lift is located in Flagstaff, Arizona.
