Yeah man, I think I would go for it. Are you sure the ceiling wasn't insulated from the factory? I realize that isn't the best insulation, but it would be better than nothing. At any rate, it looks really nice to me.
The journey is the destination...

Hand him $2500 cash, buy a $500 beater to drive home and move in. A pair of long johns and some rabbit slipers and you'll be warm and cozy. Might wrap/heat the water lines and poo tanks just in case. I doub't you can build a skoolie for that kind of money.
