Re: In search of a skoolie or shortie or...

if ya want a hippie bus, look in huntsville alabama craigslist for a cheap low mileage 92 or so flat nose about 75 passenger...you will be able to tell it from its paint job.

Re: In search of a skoolie or shortie or...

i would see if it has a rear wheel hub meter.. after all, it has only 117k miles on it, so mechanically it should be really good. and i would also check if there is rust on the frame, etc. with that low of mileage, it should be very good i think. ky aint so far from there...

Is the plan to park the bus and live in it or will you be travelling? Long trips or short trips?

Re: In search of a skoolie or shortie or...

While the MCI would probably be the quickest to get going in, if anything goes wrong especially with motor or transmission it will be the most expensive to fix. Even if you have the know how to do it yourself. Of the three I think the Bluebird would be the most reliable least expensive to fix.Don't buy anything that you can't hear run and take for a drive, especially since you indicate you know nothing about buses. If you aren't prepared/able to to much of the work yourself, labor will eat up that $$$$ quite quickly.

Good luck.
