International "Shorty" Bus Conversion For Sale

1998 International Harvester Shorty School Bus RV Conversion for sale. This school bus is a rare 24 foot "Shorty" length for easier handling, parking and higher gas mileage. Brand new tires, new solar system and new deep cycle marine batteries with receipts. Lovingly converted this year with new solar panels, insulation, pine floors, shower with propane hot water system, bed platform, storage and kitchenette. A Biolet composting toilet with venting has been installed in a privacy closet area. This bus also has both air brakes and regular hydraulic brakes, which eliminates the need for additional licensing in some states. My brother planned to take this across the country, but has developed a severe medical problem, so I am selling it for him. Previously used by a school district with legally mandated regular inspections and maintenance. Strong diesel engine with 212k miles was inspected by a diesel mechanic with no issues uncovered. Mechanic did find a brake problem, which was repaired and can provide receipts. Registered in Oregon as an RV with brand new tags this June. A great, strong running, self sufficient rig for the right person. Might be willing to deliver depending on when and how far away. Currently garaged in Oregon.

Maybe its hydraulic with an air parking brake. My 98 AmTran was like that.

It's solidly in the afternoon here so I've chased most of the grumpiness away with coffee. But yeah I think as a forum with almost 0 emphasis on classified ads there should be a minimum post threshold before you're able to post in here.

I thought the "both air and hydraulic brakes " to be a bit off in the weeds.

We know, but people trying to get into the lifestyle may come here to look for a purchase. We know the value of a conversion if we have all the skills to accomplish it. many who want to live this way may not have the time/skills/tools needed to build one. they come here looking. Hopefully there are many people who view this site that are not active members. We have members who recently paid $8K & 9K for starters, some of us know that's pretty high.
