Looking for a bus

I am looking for a bus for a conversion, OK now what?

What is the best, ( I know I will get alot of different answers)..... and why ?
Thomas, Bluebird, Ward, Capenter, etc....
long nose, flat nose
diesel , gaser
etc, etc, etc.....
Currently looking at a 1989 Bluebird, diesel, auto, 72 passenger, 60,466 miles, asking $3,000, down from $3,300.
Great looking bus, clean, low miles, no rust that i can see sofar, no AC, no storage binds, engine size and type unknown,
trans unknown other than auto.
( no service records available )

any and all info,or input will be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance

Re: Looking for a bus

The Bluebird I know is a good one, and the low miles is hard to believe. I wonder if it has a 5 or 6 digit odometer?
It's a 4 hour drive to it's location from my house.... A long drive only to look and ask questions... I called but they seemed indifferent to any possible sale with limited knowledge and a don't give a s--t attitude... kinda makes one wonder?

Re: Looking for a bus

I have found lots of buses , just not sure about which one I want, or if some are better than others, thats why the post !
not trying to BS anyone I am a rookie when it comes to buses, but I have had 3 motorhomesand a 5er, 1st 1 was a 1988 Winnebago 34 ft, 2nd was a 1996 Holiday Rambler 36 ft w/ slide, 3rd was a 35.5 5th wheel triple slide towed with an 05 Dodge dually, and just sold my 1998 40 ft Holiday Rambler Imperial diesel pusher. all were somewhat of a disapointment. cheaply made except for the pusher but really didn't like it, too big and could on get in the big rig friendly parks. Anyway I started looking at skoolies and liked the idea of driving something that is built like a tank, doesn't come with the cheap leaky rubber roof, made of cardboard , glue and paper.

Am looking for a ? I guess 3oish something bus with I think a diesel for power, torque, and longjevity.
Requesting only info from some of the more experienced Skoolies......
Thanks for you input.
