Looking for a short bus

Looking for a short bus, doesn't have to be a cutaway, but prefer something in the 25' range (5-6 window cutaway size). Will look at full size buses, but looking for stuff below the GVWR of 26,000 lbs.

I am in Raleigh NC, but willing to travel for something in good shape, without rust, but going to the west coast is out of the question right now.

Specifically NOT looking for any 6.0l diesel fords, will entertain a 6.5l detroit diesel if the price is right. All other engines will be considered.

Shopping in the $4k and below range.

A lot of us are in the same boat.
Unfortunately, "Shorty's" get priced higher than full sized units due to supply and demand and also just because more people want something smaller than a big hunk in their driveways or HOA ruled neighborhoods.

If you're patient and watch Public Surplus and GovDeals you'll likely find an amazing shorty for cheap. It pays to look around.
I got my bus for $1625. Its the nicest bus out of the 5 I've owned.
