Anyone have advice about the title issue? I may be mailing it today, but not sure yet.

Do I understand that you never transferred the title into your name?

If so, and your name is written in the buyer section and you do not sign it he may have difficulty.

If that is the case, you will likely want to sign the title and include a signed bill of sale. Having it notarized may not be a bad idea.

Good luck!!

I believe so. I called the notary down the street and they told me I would need the vehicle with me to register it under my name. I guess the best way forward is to sign it and notarize a bill of sale?

If the old title has his name and he hasn't transferred it into his name he will need to sign and convert the title to his name so he can sign "his" title over to the new guy.
