Interesting because I asked about the one with only 100k on it.. figured if I coils talk them down and it really has an Allison 2000 in it I'd buy it purely for a drivetrain harvest, the one I though I was Gina get will be tied up for another year at least in lawsuits..
A 100k 444 and 2000 with all the computers would e a steal at 3k if that's what those are and I could talk them down.

I have owned several Older Fords F600 Bus and Flatbed and Dump Truck. They all needed new brake lines and the flex hose from the Mstr cylinder. Custom made only now days. Great vehicles.

Ok. It's time to share.
I will be picking up my bus next weekend from Kerlin Bus sales. It's 2002 bluebird AARE.
They are a dealer, but they aren't buying busses to flip. They take busses as trade ins. They are reasonable, they are honest (if you need me to be more specific just ask) and they will negotiate.
Yes they are in the rust belt. Yes the used busses that they have for sale have some rust, not looking for a hundred people to tell me "I wouldn't even look at a bus if it has a speck of rust" good for you, keep looking.
Brett Williams is the sales person I am working with, ask for him. He is honest.
On another note, progressive has quoted me 525 for a year of insurance.
It's been a bit challenging with my work schedule, but I am going to make it happen next week or I have to wait till after Easter.

It wasn't my first, but I really like the AA
I had a chance to ride in one about a week ago and that sealed the deal. It's got the 5.9 Cummins, but I can live with it (125,000 mi) and a 3060.
I paid less than I could have gotten it at auction. It has some surface rust, mostly the stairs and driver floor, but the body and frame are solid.

Here is a quick shot of it.
Air ride on all 4 corners and pass through storage. Has just about everything I want.

Bus looks awesome! Exactly what I'm looking for, except for the RE. Start a build thread if you haven't already!

NJsurf73,
Good find!! +1 on the Kerlin bus folks, they are really cool!! I was looking at a 1999 from them but the distance to bring it back to cali wouldn't have been cheap so I backed off, but they were super helpful. (tell Rodger to watch out for the beast in the woods)
Can't wait to see your build come together. Good luck!!

It wasn't that I thought it was a cool truck. I've just never seen a bookmobile in a truck before.
It's a very shiny truck.

I don't remember having bookmobiles when I was a kid. We had to go all the way to the library and get a library card to get books, and it was uphill both ways.

Thoughts??? Never dealt with turbo issues before (my old M3 is NA). I'd bring him down in price of course.

For the purchase price, and price of the part, I would look for something else. If you can do the work (and I have never swapped a turbo but it doesn't look too hard) and the intake side if the turbo didn't blow all the fins down the intake... You could try and talk him down to a reasonable price.
