I have not idea as to what they had done to it but for $32K it must have been gold plated. A new out of the box replacement engine and transmission installed shouldn't cost much more than about $15K-$20K.
I think they are going to be sitting on the bus for a while with a starting price that high. It just isn't worth that much. Even with a lot of engine work. Unless it comes with a new warranty that has five more years and/or 100K miles to go.

That looks like an okay bus but it does have the Cat C7 engine. The C7 engines along with the prior 3116 and 3126 can be money pits
I would not pay much more than the current bid.

But as long as it doesn't have any rust that could be a really good bus for someone.
It has the 9" windows and does not have a flat floor.
But it does have the DT466, tinted glass, and a white roof.
The black screens in the lower skirt on the driver's side suggests it has A/C.
It would still be a good deal at $4K in my estimation. As long as it doesn't have any rust.
If there is any rust it is about topped out.

I wouldn't pay half that for one of those.
Too new to be any fun to work on. Expensive to maintain.

a forum member last year roasted a navistar VT-365 engine. and was quoted a total of $25k to install a reman engine.. the VT-365 was one of the "cheap" ones.... so i could believe 32k for a Cat.

The starting price on that one is high but this other one looks like a good deal with under 14k miles and most conversion work already done. Gen set, Jack's and tanks onboard too.

I'm not sure I have seen a bus that size with an engine that big, not saying it's incorrect but I would probably go look at the bus myself or at least call the maintenance personnel to confirm. I am not a bus expert but have looked at enough that this seems a little out of place... I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm way out of line

I couldn't agree more. However, I did a VIN decode, and that is precisely what it came back as. 1000+ ft-lbs in a bus that size aught to be fun!

Hills should present 0 issues if it is running correctly, might look at maintenance cost on that engine. Seems like the bigger they are the more expensive, generally....

IDK how many were sold, if any, but the legendary Cat 3406 was apparently an option on my 3800 Navistar.
Never seen a C10 in a bus. Would be cool, but expensive.

Dont think this has been on here, but I remember someone talking about a crazy roof raise. Here is a 40" roof raise no windows.
