They went pretty high in the end. Didn't help that people were running up the price with 7 days left on the auction.

Their currency is called the Colon, if that is any indication.

and yeah I drive my busses a lot (thats why I have them)... these 2 girls stopped me tonight at a traffic light and asked "what kind of bus is that?" I said "bluebird".. she responded.. "its red..".. "what do you do with it?"
I said " I drive it around.."" "Like a car?" she asked.. "Yep!! just like you are driving that cool truck".. and I got two thumbs up and big grin smiles from them..
makes it worth all lthe fuel I put in these things..
who woulda thought an old school bus would be a chick magnet...

Dang...I hope you have a fuel card. Some good bennies.
Would love to hear some more tips from your travels. You think nothing of jumping-in and driving across country.

CR has been upgrading to bigger fleet buses. Schools aren't using busses like USA does. All the school busses are going to Nicaragua.
Costa Rica has very high import taxes. $26K usd is correct.

I am still wondering about that ad. 16,000 CRC is about $26 USD. Not $26,000USD.

I don't take buses personally
The spec is perfect, I guess the ownership not so much.
In any event, 2010 is too new for me to afford, even if it were the best bus on the planet.

I do wish my bus had the dirver mirror in front of the windshield like those instead of the driver window.. my side view ability sucks because the mirror is right there in the driver window..
that bus will probably be sold to a school to run for a few years.. I love the look of that.. maybe id consider it if there was air-conditioning.. but its so new that it has full emissions...
