WOW, What a Courteous Seller in Tx.
So I'm cruising the ads on CL and see this one:
https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/ctd/6460059154.html
Decide to contact him and see if he has what I'm looking for. Now I take some credit for not reading the last few lines of his listing, but still.
I send an email asking:
"Looking for a 72 passenger or near that, Front engine bus between 98-04. LMK what you have an specs and pricing." , not knowing how he ended his listing info.
He replies back with:
"Hello, where are you located"
Which I reply to with:
"North Georgia, My location is not relevant to where I will go."
He comes back with:
"Call me when you get to Texas, Thanks."
I reply:
"Not coming to Texas until I know what you have to offer."
his reply:
"Good, Then F*ck off."
Yep, great way to garner interest in your product.

When you're selling buses its not hard to garner interest. People are buying them up. Especially at that price.
Having sold a couple buses on CL, I can understand what that seller is talking about. But the guys definitely a dick.

Sounds more like a Kaliphornia transplant than a local. Gotta love that CL crowd.

You say "especially at that price". That's a starting price, I'm sure, for the POS out back with the blown motor and the suspension falling out of it.
I guess I would have known he was an A hole had I read the whole listing.

thats what you use with the fake ICP "tune" is exactly that..
I was thinking of taking that a step farther and having the "black box" I already built to monitor throttle. and when I am at say the last 5% of my gas pedal it would progressively turn up the ICP value.. so when im climbing a hill it would add the necessary power but at level cruise it would go back to stock.
similar to the way my "black box" attempts to maintain the cruise control speed by shifting to the proper gears when needed..
since im fully GPS connected when I want to be... incorporating elevation data into the system using google API's could be beneficial.. the system triggered by when I activate cruise control.
knowing the direction im pointed and being able to grab elevation data say 1/10 or 1/20 of a mile directly in front of me is a pretty good idea of whether i need more or less power, and higher or lower gear to maintain my cruise setpoint..

And after you get that upgrade in place, we all want to follow along while you work out and install the fully autonomous, self-driving system. I do believe you could not only pull it off, but beat Google and Uber at their own game.

Yeah, I hate those kinda folks. Almost EVERY diesel repair shop will talk to ya the same way. At least around here. Especially on the phone.
These diesel and bus folks are making so much money they aren't worried about being nice, I guess.
Tango- Maybe this CL jerk is one of the locals in Cleveland?!

I dont know much about the pre 'E' 7.3 which that one is, other than it is a little harder to get parts for.. i know it was enough of a boat anchor that txstreetman swapped his blown-up 7.3 IDI for a DT-360..

I'd imagine a command center could cause some concern in a campground. Just use crime scene tape to mark off your territory.
