It's a very nice looking bus and it has the high ceiling.

If the price stays under $3k that would be a very attractive buy ... even a bit more, but the tires look done.

It seems someone is going to get a pretty decent conversion. There is no reserve on the listing. I don't know if that was on purpose or oversite.

'Buy It Now' 38-ft, 1988 Crown Supercoach on eBay

The seller just relisted this bus after the person who won the auction (for $5,801) couldn't get permission to bring it into Canada, or so the listing says. Right now, it's at $5,000, "Buy It Now."

I think Crowns are beautiful, but I'm just now learning about school buses. All I know is that they're beautiful, desirable, and well made.

Definitely of interest, especially the price. Would qualify as a mid-sized. Most of the work is already done.

Nice step van. That long low rear overhang would get a lot of people stuck on steep entry/exits and other deep dips.

The wife and I just had a conversation about selling our best mid-demo. Perfect timing for somebody to take over, before any customization begins.

It is a 2001 International flat nose with an AmTran cab. 38ft in length, with a 466DT and a HD 4spd Allison transmission with locking torque converter. 100gal diesel tank is passenger side just behind the door. All six tires are like new, and the bus drives great. I start it and drive it around once a week.

What have we done to it?

Stripped the seats out, and all the flooring down to bare metal. Walls, ceiling, and Windows are all intact and in good condition. Emergency lights have been removed and boxed, and the door buzzer system has been removed. Bus has 3 AC units. The AC closest to the driver works great, the other two I planned on removing, so I have not messed with them much.

Why are we contemplating a sell? Trying to buy a house and acreage, which would set back a bus back a few years, minus maybe just an activity bus. But we could severely use the cash for help with a down payment.

Bus is located on the East Side of San Antonio Texas if you are interested. If there is anybody interested, we are going to go get the title done here shortly, as in Texas the build has to be complete before you can register as an RV, so I will just get title only on the bus updated for sale.

Interested parties, PM me for more information.

Price is negotiatable, I want to hear offers. Local sell preferred, and no PayPal. Payment on pickup, no deposits, etc.

Note: Front bumper is off so I can more easily access underneath the front of the bus.
