Tempting, but it lacks the underbody storage.

From what I've seen, requires welding and some skill if you want it done right, something I'm not currently capable of. The people I'll be working with do offer it, though.

I will be adding under body storage as well. The storage boxes themselves are probably not too hard. I think the door portion will be where it is more challenging.

Our church has a Thomas Saf-T-Liner EF with a lift that I looked into what it would cost to have some luggage compartments added to the bus.

What I discovered is there are companies that make compartments for on the sides of trucks, for both above and below the deck of the bed. The price for the complete box, including a locking weather tight door, was considerably less than what it would cost to have one made. Installing would be a simple bolt in proposition.

Some are made of ABS plastic with the color molded into the ABS--you are limited to white or National School Bus Chrome Yellow. American Bus Products

Or you might want to consider a metal truck underbed tool box with a locking weather tight door. They come in steel, aluminum, and stainless.

Its almost surely the 8.2 Detroit "fuel pincher". They're pretty obsolete these days.

Isn't the 8.2 a V8?

Yep. They're common in Bluebird of this type and era.

I don't think it was a two stroke. Listing is gone now anyway.

It didn't specify 2stroke. The ad said that it had a 6 cylinder Detroit.

In that time frame the only 6 cylinder Detroit in production was a 2 stroke.
