$4500 at a dealer, where it HAS sat quite a while.

Nicer looking bus at an auction that hasn't closed but probably a lot less once its said and done.

On another note, I've been watching for a shorty fullsize.
Some neighbors just moved in down the street and used a 5 window shorty to move and its now sitting in their back side yard with a for sale sign. Looks like 80's vintage. No visible rust. I'm thinking the city is all over em. Which sucks but I'm gonna go talk to em today and if they're reasonable on price I'm thinking of buying it ASAP. Weekend fun hauler and smoke den.

My company has a body shop at this location, they often spend a lot of time touching up their buses when there's no buses from other terminals to patch up (we have over 30 terminals and 1000+ buses in the fleet)

Cool, thanks for the reply. That's what you call "job security". "Well, there's no buses to paint today, we'll pull one from the line and touch her up".

Caught my eye cause this is the set up I want; rear lift, front engine GVW under 26k...1500$...might be worth checking on

I'd buy that in a fast NY minute. Before someone else does.

It might have some problems from sitting, but come on. It's a '00. And it runs? And it has air conditioning and a rear lift?
I can't see any information about mileage, but it's a special needs bus and it runs. If you're there I'd definitely take the money out of the bank on the way to look at it. You can always change your mind after looking, but unless you find something majorly wrong with it I'd be ready to buy it. That sounds like a pretty good deal, but then you are in the salt belt aren't you?

Yes I am. That being said I almost feel obligated to go look to confirm a rust issue or some type of deal killer. I'm not suppose to be making a purchase until next year!

Yeah, that's about a $3,000 bus in my meager opinion. Don't know the mileage. Considering the age any rust can't be all that bad.
On the other hand I'm frequently informed that I'm wrong or partially right. It all depends on your experience.
