Interestingly there is only this invoice.
No Company name or indication where this work has been done. Looking at the differential it looks pretty wet to me and filthy. Yes. I'm skeptical.

While I was searching for something online, I came across this 4-hour old Craigslist posting for this bus for sale. It has a nice layout and appears to be well built.

I am not affiliated with the seller/bus- just posting in case someone may be interested.

Really? Yeah that's a beauty.

If he was giving it away with a tank full of fuel I'd give it some thought

If anyone is in the market for a coach and is willing to get one with some emissions controls (I'm not sure if they will have DPFs, I think most are older than 2008 ), there are a dozen or so MCIs and a couple of Vanhools going up for auction from Loudoun County within a month or so. They will be listed on Public Surplus, the last couple of coaches went for about $4,000 each.

I was just part of a crew that ran through the entire fleet as a maintenance audit and they were in remarkably good condition. Loudoun County spends quite a lot of money maintaining their fleet.

Gents,
One of the mods on this very thread has just pulled several back & forth posts on another opinionated saga over e-busses, (ref. post# 6005).
I was in the midst of the fray, and got my posts removed. Understood.

All I'm trying to say is let's don't get this back into a pi$$ing contest over opinions that muddy up the pages of the thread.
Good evening to all...

As the mod who did that, and also just deleted another 10 posts... I agree. And thanks.

Whole ton of buses in Houston

I think I counted 32 runners, and a number of tow-aways.

Online auction is here.

For somebody looking for an old-school gasser, this just listed in Las Vegas. A 1978 Chevy 350, manual...asking $2400.

onlinepros buyers premium is always high.. HOWEVER they have one of the best reputations about accurately respresenting their busses and the paperwork is easy and seamless. so in many cases vs govdeald and publicsurplus who are often mistaken in listings (seen it lots) that 14% isnt so bad knowing that the bus will be represented correctly..

by the way this district is known for taking good care of their busses.. one of mine came from there.. I know people who drove for them and their busses are generally a good quality piece as long as you dont get in a bidding war with ther southern exporters..

many of Cyfair busses are DT466 (e) engines with MT643 or allison 2000 series transmissions and many have working air-conditioning and decent tires.. being near houston rust isnt a big issue..

they will usualy give you the VIN with which you can call international dealer and ask them the engine / horsepower / transmission. and rear gear..

when I got my CyFair bus it was as easy as show up, get my signed title.. put the key in the ignition and drive away...

Okay...this is an oldie...but for $1500 and they say the engine runs...this would be a cool project. It's a 1954 International, in California. Maybe I have a soft spot here, because when I was growing up my dad had a '54 International pick-up. They do say it needs lots of work...and that it would. But what a cool rig you could make out of this:

And here's another interesting short bus. What is this? It looks like a Vista, but doesn't have the little triangular windshield bits on the sides. I actually didn't know International made a little pug like this.

The coaches I previously mentioned finally went up, 3 2011 Vanhools and 6 MCIs.

2004 MCI
https://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/lo...ew?auc=2728166

2005 MCI
https://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/lo...ew?auc=2728167

The other 3 are similar and are auction numbers 2736084 (2006), 2736083 (2005), 2736082 (2004)

As the Vanhools all have DPFs I'm not going to directly link to them at this time.

Wow, Amazing what a thousand bucks will buy! My '03 with a nearly new motor set me back 1800. But it is classic!

Does Rust-Oleum send out tanker trucks? Or maybe waterbombers?
