It just seems that a lot of people come here and they're really looking for help to get a nice bus the first time. Someone with an idea of how to make this work speak up.
its tough unless someone wants to maintain a guide of sorts.. since busses arent for sale forever, someone coming along is likely to want to see busses for sale now.. maybe this thread gets started new each week.. people can go through old weeks if they want but wont be reading 100 pages of thread only to find 80% of the busses are sold already...

The MASH bus was converted in the '70s. Cute, but how much shag carpet will have to be removed? Kind of a generous price considering it hasn't run for how long? Good tires that are probably timed out?

The Gillig looks nice but I wish they had bothered to take a couple interior shots.

I see you've come around on the tire age issue. That's great.

That's exactly my point CB. As explained earlier I am the guy with the brand new set of Toyo's, and that was long before you ever brought up the issue of aging tires to me. You're preaching to the quire, but it's appreciated in the sense of safety.

They time out in around eight-10 years.

time out purely by calendar?? or time out as in they may not have a lot of miles but have become unsafe by caracking, rotting, etc??

do you really throw a tire out because its just "old" or only when it shows signs of damage?
