a few Texas Busses.. I know nothing about the district.. this auction site does seem to have busses fairly often.

Arizona MCI $3K recent rebuild, gutted

1977 MCI MC8 CRUISADER BUS - $3000 (Golden Valley AZ) [Gutted, with holes where old RV AC went and such, but mechanically sounds astonishing (recent rebuilds, new tires, etc.)... might be well worth looking at.]

NEED IT GONE BY NOVEMBER 15!!
1977 MCI MC8 CRUISADER 40' bus, previously converted currently stripped interior ready for you to convert or good for a parts coach. This was a fully converted rv coach wich has recently had all the interior and all rv related components removed and used to build my new bus conversion. Has good tires all around including spare. Steer tires are one year old with less than 2k miles, all other tires are 5 to 6 years old and tread looks like new. Out of frame rebuild on 8v71 detroit less than one year ago with less than 2k miles, rebuilt Alison auto HT740D at the same time. Engine is standard timed with N70 injectors, 330HP @ 880LBS TQ. While the engine and trans was out the engine cradle frame was repaired and new gussetts welded in place. New radiators about 6 years ago. Jake brakes. ECO air filter system. Radiator fan gearbox was disassembled and cleaned with new seals installed this spring. Manual air leveling system, all new rolling lobe airbags installed this springs only 700 miles on them. New LED lightling in the rear (stop/tail/turn lights). Lots of extra parts including spare 50DN alternator, MT42 starter, brake linings, window rubbers, many misc. seals and gaskets. There are also solar sun screens for each window, including the windshield.

Now for the negative. . .as stated above, the bus is just a shell all rv components interior and exterior have been removed. The compartment where the generator was installed has the door removed but it is included and is in good shape. Two of the left side windows are missing but the frames are intact so new glass could be installed, or other window options could be installed. There are various holes in the roof and sidewalls of the coach from things such as the air conditioners, refrigerator, water heater etc. The body has not been hacked and chopped, the only holes are from the rv appliances that were removed.

You can fire it up and drive it anywhere today. Even if someone wants it just for the drivetrain it is an awesome buy considering I just put over 23k into it within the last year. Asking $3000 OBO need it gone by the 15th.

Bookmobile

Bluebird Book Mobile Bus- Cummins Allison

This is a nice running book mobile. Shelves still in it- still set up as a book mobile. I bought it to re-purpose it into a party bus but things change. Lots of great features.
1. Allison tranny shifts good
2. Cummins 12 valve starts nice- not turned up/ tuned up- stock
3.10kw Onan diesel generator in the belly - works great- starts right up from the drivers seat
4.120v all wired up- breaker box all set up.
5. two ac units on top wired to genny- electric heat wired to genny too(12v heater works too/ no 12v air)
6.runs good/ starts right up/ i put new batteries in it to sell it
7. I have the ac covert in the bus- front was not as cold as back so I was looking at it
8.Front right tire was Choppy when I drove it home from St Louis- It will need to be replaced at some point
9. It has 120 volt lighting all through- also has 12v lighting as well
10. It has a wheelchair lift behind the book shelves- They slide away and it is behind the books. I never used it.
Note: this was a 150 thousand dollar bus when new- and is still very nice
titled as a bus- clean and clear title. This is cheap, and I know I got. The Onan diesel genny is worth 3.5k
------------I listed my home phone so leave a message, I will get back to you that evening.----

That was my reaction also, practically word for word. (Then I thought of the spidey sense thing to illustrate it.)

Weirdest thing about that is that it takes two people willing to pay that much in order for the bid to get that high.
