I too emailed the seller and got nothing. The $500 ad was taken down, then a few days later another identical ad was put up with the same contact info but for $2500. I sent a text asking for more pictures and details and to set up a time to look at it and got a "**** you" text back. then three days later, the ad was gone. Just more mystery.. ooooOOOooo.

I think someone stored the bus somewhere and hasn't paid them in a while. The property owner probably put the ad up with the bus owners phone number on it to mess with him and/or get him to pay up.

I just saw this on Craigslist outside of Austin, Texas.

Claims to be a 2009 Bluebird with a Cummins Diesel. Flat nose CHARTER bus. Not a school bus, but has the perks of being white and not having a restricted engine. 97,000 miles and only asking $13,500.

2009 Bluebird, 5.9 cummins diesel, with 97kmiles

Looking for....

Dt466 or Cummins Engine. Allison Transmission. Automatic preferred. Thomas or Bluebird preferred. Type "D" Transit style, "Flat Nose" REALLY preferred. 1990-1995 is essential. MAYBE a bit earlier in year.

My family is really hoping to find our bus by February so we can start converting ASAP. I know the specs are pretty specific, but I'm putting exactly what I want out there to the universe!! Any one willing to help keep a look out would be awesome!! I can only search so many sites while working full time, and running a family. We will be raising the roof and building lofts into the layout. Shoot, wish there were more readily available double deckers and I'd buy one in a heart beat! Super excited!!!! Thanks in advance!

That doesn't look like a 2009 at all. Dashboard layout and the driver's side switch panel is from 1999-2003. I've sat in enough Bluebirds to know the difference.

In west texas, but travel to dfw and austin often, still looking but nothing has come up that seems like a decent deal and or anybody willing to call back

IDK, but to me both those seem like projects and pretty highly priced.

I would offer the guy with the mci 5k it is a standard transmission and a mediocre conversion, but depending on the engine (mileage on rebuild...) 5-6K is reasonable. Also it has 10 tires so tire quality is very important. Also check for rust and all the normal stuff but the mci is twice the bus of the skoolie.

I'd rather go for one like this-
1988 MCI passenger coach.Â* FOR SALE

Or this one-

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1979-MCI-MC-...-/131687142614

But everyone has different tastes, wants, and needs for sure! To me a bus is worth MORE unconverted.

Nice looking GMC in AL, Bear. But you shouldn't have posted it... He is very clear he doesn't need any help selling it! lol
The scenicruiser looks like a major project but man those are totally worth it. That school bus looks like a cheap, hasty conversion though. I'd rather buy the bus myself and do it my own way. But I guess if one finds a conversion they'd be happy with its an option.
I haven't seen that 77' for sale. I like those.

I'm looking for a relatively rust free bus with a dt466 or Cummins and Allison 643 or standard tranny. Those are my only requirements. Rust free is probably worth traveling for as I will be leaving Michigan this fall and living out of the bus for at least a few years. Been looking around but I figure I'd throw this on here as I am willing to pay a little extra toinsire my new home is nice

Those were more or less my requirements. I went 800 miles north to beautiful Kentucky and score a beauty. A good bus is SOOOO worth the drive.

Just got notice from publicsurplus.com that Washington has an auction with
6 1997 Bluebird All American buses. They all have the 8.3 Cummins engines
and the MD3060 Allison transmission. They also have basement storage and
appear to be rust free. To bad they don't show the tach up close so you can
read the hour meter. Look like very desirable units with the perfect drivetrain.
