The 2 or 3 that showed the hour meter had 12000 hours. One had 50000 miles the rest were 150-200k miles. That's quite a bit of hours?

$10k or OBO? Sale price might be fair given the work already done. Could be wrong, rarely hurts to ask...

the ad said 12 grand when I went to the link. Ten grand still sounds ridiculous. Looks totally like a regular, unconverted school bus to me.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

So since I'm near him and looking for a bus to build I had to ask him.
this was his response
"Good question, glad you asked. There are many reasons why it's worth $9800 to someone. The quality of the engine/tranny combo and the care it's been under its short life ensures its longevity. This bus lived in a rural town, less wear and tear than in cities. Absolutely no rust is hard to find on school busses under the carriage and inside of the bus from foot traffic, it's hard to know what you're getting under the seats and rubber floors - it could be rusted/molded through the wood (see www.Skoolie.net for project pics). This is of course if someone would be converting this to anything, in that case the most difficult work of demo is also done. Removing the seats, the rubber, and dumping the trash is worth much physical and mental energy to the next converter. Painting all 36 feet of this monster was a tapping marathon - saves time, money, and energy to the next owner. It's illegal to keep a bus yellow in any scenario. Lastly, I've driven it all around CA and it's run strong for me with no signs of letting up for as long as you'd need it"

Makes it sound like he is on this site somewhere.

By this sellers logic, a metal tent is worth ten grand.

Just found this wanderlodge going up for auction tomorrow Mr. Eds Auction in Catoosa, (just outside Tulsa). Look past the fleet of white service trucks for the pics.

That certainly is a very cool old bus.
If that's actually the price they get for it, then imo that would make Tango's worth at least a cool quarter mil when its done.
Ol' Trunt's bus has to be worth at least a couple hundred grand as it sits.

Blue Bird

How is this set up?

CATERPILLER 3208 with an Alison MT643

about 212k

If the engine tranny combo is decent, what would be a good price on a rust free body?

Those are minutes from my bus. I wonder if I should try to pick up one for cheap.

Wow those ones in florida are nice Tried to get an account today but never got my bidding number. I'm intrigued by the buses out near cinci, but haven't been able to get over there to look. Are those the ones you are near EastCoastCb? Let me know how they look if you actually go out there.
