Blue Bird All American school bus 1998 - $6200 (Alamogordo)

Blue Bird All American school bus 1998

Already titled as an RV, but still has all the seats. Price seems a bit steep.

Stock #X73109 - Miscellaneous | Rydemore

My dad gave me this info. This company has 5 of these short buses, which is what i'd prefer, but they're up in Massachusetts.. Anyone want to weigh in on this? All i've learned from this forum thus far is that CATs are expensive to repair, but these buses are at like 100k miles.. so maybe that's not a huge issue? i want to call and ask about maintenance logs.. but i'm not sure if i'm really ready to make a commitment.. and the price $5800 seems high, but maybe not if it's in like new condition?

my goal is to just use this as an mobile hotel to get my kids and I cross country vacations to parks and what not on the (relative) cheap.

Condition Used
Make FREIGHTLINER
Model FS65 Chassis
Year 2007
VIN 4UZAAXDD07CX73109
Description Part type: Complete Vehicle Engine: CAT C7 Trans: Allison Auto Make: FREIGHTLINER Model: FS65 Chassis

That's a TC2000, not an All American. And I agree, the price is steep for what it is.

The TC2000 was a cheaper version of the All American - different headlights/grille, smaller axles, etc.

Here's a TC2000

And here's an All American. Note the dual headlights and the different grille.

im rteally likimng my shortie more and more every day... seems getting around ion a short bus is much easier than a long skoolie let alone a Coach..

I suppose if I was full time living or had more than just myself id find a short bus cramped.. but even if i were to go all out with shower, toilet, kitchen etc my 7 window would be more than enough room.. and now that I got new front shocks and an alignment it drives even better than it did (and I thougth it was good before)... I may just use it as my daily driver..

This isn't exactly a Skoolie, but if I had one, I'd be looking at a hood swap!

I saw this on the way home in SW VA the other day: '64 GMC 35' 4106 8V71 Detroit Diesel with jake brake, auto transmission, and power steering, with sign in the window asking $27,500. Looks like the date code on the rear tires was just over ten years ago, but I also saw an "R" brand. The rubber on both front and rear looks new. Plaque "Affectionately Hand Crafted by Lyn Coach Works 1988" caught my eye. Virginia inspection ran out in 2014. Looks like a broken window. In Elliston, VA, between Christiansburg and Roanoke.

(The area code would be 540.)
And it appears to have been there for some time: Google Street View saw it last September:
