In fact it was a gas powered 2 stroke inline six cylinder diesel V8 which was all the rage at the time.

Md3060 is the most popular 5 speed. Sometimes refered to as the "world" transmission. The easiest way to tell is if there is a picture of the driver area it's a push button not "t" handle.

Also the md3060 is actually a 6 speed transmission that is programmed to only use 5 speeds... And The holy Grail is getting 6th gear unlocked... There are threads on it.

2002 Thomas 30ft Saf-T-Liner Beauty
Hello all,
Weird this is my first post, but I've basically been researching (so I don't ask questions already asked...) and stalking classifieds posts while my wife and I look for a bus. I stumbled across this beauty and wish we could make it work, but 30ft is just too tight for us. I hope someone on here is able to snag it if the auction doesn't go too high.
It's super low miles, in excellent shape, and has more A/C than you'd probably ever need. VIN shows Air Brakes. Looks like it even has storage. The main challenge is they haven't provided the model of engine or trans, aside from other perks people may require.
Details they provided:
Engine: 6cyl 24V Cummins Diesel
Transmission: Automatic
Miles: 76348
VIN: 1T75L2B2521121744 A/C
Onan 12KW Gen BOX A Unit# 45205
https://wsmauctioneers.hibid.com/lot...ft-bus?cpage=4
The auction house is in Phoenix. Bids are currently at $2700 and ends tomorrow morning, at least per the online site (~18 hrs left as of now). Seems like they handle in-person bidding starting at 8AM tomorrow, though, so that part is a bit confusing. May want to shoot them a call to clarify.
Hope this helps someone out there!
