Non-affiliated stuff for sale - thread

Thought I would borrow the idea of the non-affiliated buses thread, but for bus-related stuff we find for sale and don't want ourselves.

To kick it off, this guy (north of Philly) is selling his cedar deck because his HOA won't let him keep it:

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/...928429282.html

It's 23 eight foot 1x6 cedar boards for $200. Might even be usable for a roof deck as is without disassembling.

Very nice.
Prolly not especially cost-effective to drive to, to pick up, from Texas!
Tho it HAS been a gawdawful long while since I last indulged in a proper Cheese Steak Hoagie...

If anybody is looking for passenger seats with integrated shoulder belts, these are free in Philadelphia: https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/...968837103.html

Edit: er, not really Philly. Perkasie, which is closer to Allentown.

If you are looking for a BIG bus, Huston TX is retiring over a dozen MCI 45' coaches built in 2001-2003 with the desirable Series 60 engines and Allison B500 transmissions.

Search on publicsurplus.com for "MCI 45"

You might want to post that on the original non-affiliated buses for sale thread here: http://www.skoolie.net/forums/f14/no...ead-11256.html

This thread is meant for stuff that can go into a bus.

Sorry, I was reading too fast, saw 'non-affiliated', and clicked. Posted in correct thread. You can delete post here.

I found a guy on Craiglist (in New Jersey, about 25 miles sound of Philadelphia) who is selling a batch of slightly-nicked Foamular-250 insulation 2" thick. 90 whole sheets (4'x8') and 20 broken ones for $800 OBO, so around $8 a sheet. Looks like he had a batch outside that got caught in the wind here recently and blown about.

I'm going to see if he'll sell me a smaller amount of boards. Anybody in the Philly area want in on this?

If you ever find yourself in Elkhart, take a little trip to White Pigeon, MI (it's just down the road). There's a couple RV salvage places that have many buildings and a yard full of just about anything you need from axles, windows, seats, awnings. One is called Bontragers, one is called Johnson's and they're both about equally stocked.

According to the q&a that engine has been sitting on the ground for 11 years like that. Yikes!

Found a source nearby for 2" rock wool insulation: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...4385202800131/

I think this is the equivalent of $12.50 for a 4'x8' sheet which is a lot better than box-store XPS. It seems to be Russian which is a bit odd.

Finally, skoolie-specific needs are being solved. Check out all the fabricated parts at skoolie.com/shop. If you can't or won't fabricate your own, these come at a low time cost if you are after brand new skoolie-specific parts.

Check out this... filthy bus. 4-window 1987 G3500 with 6.2L Detroit Diesel. I think that $3500 is a bit much, personally.
