I dunno how 'good' tires are after being sunk into the dirt like that. And a suicide door!

Some of the older shorties are getting hard to find and pricey. That one doesn't look all that bad in the pix but you'd have to really go over it before you could come up with a restoration/build price. I think if you could get it for $1500 to 2K and had the right skills & time, it could be a pretty nice deal. Would definitely be a looker if done right. 'Course...I AM a self proclaimed sucker for these older gals.

Man, are these really selling in this rough condition?
I like how being a total rust bucket is billed as "nice patina". Classic.

That looks solid. Be a nice project, but like Tango said, offer him $1500.

Tell him you want to see it rolled onto flat ground before you make any offer. Look how far its sunk in-I'm betting 10 years in place at least. If there are any locked up wheels, it could be an expensive big wrecker to get it out of there. You might want to point out to him that just because the tires have tread on them,it doesn't mean they're 'good'. And moss doesn't count as 'nice patina'.

I think around $2 isn't a bad deal for it - especially since it's not just a bus hulk, it looks like a decent little conversion inside. Someone cared for it once.

That's not 10 years worth of sinking in to the mud. A few months, maybe a year. (With all the rain and warm weather, if I parked that on my front lawn, it would sink more then that in a week.)

It's a lot more "together" then some of the other things I've seen popping up for sale lately. The real question is does it run and drive...Sometimes its better to let the tire kickers assume it doesn't, even if it could be coaxed to a rough idle.

Looks just like the free 66 we got my friend back about ten years ago.
For what they're asking, its going to sit on CL for quite a while.
