propane air RV furnace 20 kBTU

Today i was at the junkyard to take interior pieces from an RV to convert our slf bus. iIt contained also a propane furnace. We will not use propane but if someone wants then i am willing to take it out and ship it to you.

let me know what it is worth.








Pm me if this of interest. I will go there again tomorrow morning to tear some other parts out. after that this RV will be scrapped.

It is an old style Ford Econoline chassis with a fiberglass shell. i assume 1990.

It looks pretty good, I have a diesel furnace and induction cooking, propane is not in my interest other wise I would take it.

test it and if it works, take the circuit boards out of it and Ebay them.. ,many ,any peoiple I know that are RVers end up with bad boards in their furnaces and they are expensive to buy new..

here are some interior pictures of the , took the furnace out , looks new inside. her is still a water heater and a skirt split AC system.
There was wasps nest so I did not investigate to much.
Seeing the wear and tear on the furniture this unit was not used a whole lot
just for fun;before and after.

Still thinking about the toilet and little corner sink.

good idea about ebay, i will take a better look at it and make some pics from the inside and ask again.

Not sure, only 138000 miles, did not smell inside. It is / was a TELSTAR fiberglass shell with no side doors and a door in the back.

The scrap yard owner saif is was running and he bought it to help a homeless friend, it did not pan out and it ended op in his scrap yard.

When we found it it was already beyond repair and the as you can see the floor to sidewall at the propane furnace was ripped apart.

One reason to use buses is the additional strength, although these rv's look great it is pretty flimsy.

RVs are so pretty, but it's like camping inside a waterproof cardboard box.

There are so many people building buses for themselves these days that it's pretty clear people want a more durable rig to camp in. Not to mention the cost of an RV as compared to building a bus conversion.

Is anyone keeping track of their hours of labor while doing their build?

the Van part of that one looked really nice.. rather unusual to find a ford van Dashboard in such nice shape.. years ago when I added A/C to my 1980 Club Wagon, id have killed for a dash that nice.. ironically eventually the one I found.. (I had to replace the whole dash pieces because ford didnt put A/C vents in the dash at all of Non A/C vans originally).. was from an RV..

yes, thought all was in great shape, even the carpet. i felt kind of sad to rip this all apart, the good thing is that the stuff will get a second life.
