I'm beginning to rethink getting a skoolie! The prices are higher than I want to spend (been crusing eBay). We have the Eagle (40 ft). We only paid $5K for it and that included a full set of front and rear caps (value about $2K+). I have a hard time justifying the expense of a skoolie with getting the Eagle that cheap (and boy did we get a deal). It runs and is fairly decent on diesel (stripped empty it's getting about 15mpg). The motor is solid and there's the "basement" to stick all the stuff in. Only problem I have with it is that it has the original 4 speed Spicer tranny and an 13 speed Roadranger would be better for the mountains we live/travel in. I think I will adapt & print out my floor plan (33'8" useable floor length in the Eagle) and talk to David this weekend when I see him.
