Rubber window seal/gasket

Does anyone know where I can pick up the rubber seal and bead that holds the destination sign windows in place? I have seen it before and know that it's not specific to schoolies.. I just don't even know the name for it to start calling locally.

Thanks,
/z

Those seals are the ones just like my jackknife door in the front. Well mine has both types. One window has the one you are refering to and the rest are just boot type.

You might just want to try a glass installer and see if they have some of it. For the most part you get the lenge you need and put the center in the bottom and put a little window sealant in the gap where the two ends meet. Another option would be to go to a boneyard and look for a older car or van that has the boot type and get the lenge you need.

Yeah, I think a trip to the local school district bus lot would be in order, too. I can't imagine that type of seal just disappeared. I bet with a little looking I can find it on a newer bus, too.

As for glass installers, I hadn't thought of that. I've been working from the other direction talking to paint and body places for the metal side of things Anyway, i also found that it's the exact same seal that is used on the rear windows, so time to call the glass guys, I s'pose...
