San Diego USD used bus prices

I thought I’d check into the local school busses and see where they are getting sold. Turns out they have in-house sales and you can pick up a 1999 bluebird with a dt466 and at 545 for only $28,000. Cheap at twice the price! Maybe it’s in pesos?

I believe the silly looking price is a reflection of how unreasonable it is to bring a 49 state bus into the great state of california. Lots of demand, almost no supply.

The extra $27,000 is for the tire shine.

You guys need a magnifying glass.

That was a $28,000 bus - in 2010! (Or the ad said it would be available Summer 2010.)

I found some actual California super clean buses at "reasonable" prices.

Nice bus but I can buy 3 or 4 of them in 49 state trim for the price of that one.

Ha! A bus just like that drives by here all the time so I didn’t think twice about it. I called and they now sell busses through TNT auctions. Right now the only busses he has are non-op so I’ll keep an eye out there too.

Can you buy 3 or 4 2010 models for that money? The price was the asking price 10 years ago.

That's a pretty top of the line BB. I doubt you could find 3 or 4 of those in that condition for the money, even though that is over priced. Apparently no one else thought the price was good one.

I check that site and others but wanted to see what was available closer to home. I ended up not bidding on what looked like the perfect bus because I couldn’t get out there to look at it.
