It says poor condition, and it says it doesn't run. Your translation is as good as mine. That's very low mileage and the bus does look good, and I'd like to have a bus that size but it's much to far away.

There is a 1990 International bus on Portland Craig list right now.
466, 5 speed, air brakes.
What more could you want?
A Gillig of course. I have one of those in the Portland area I would sell.

I wouldn't mind having the whole bus. It must have a major engine problem if they are dumping it at this low mileage. I hate it when they list buses for sale and are to lazy to put any information about them. Bad clerk.

That is a Ward/AmTrans body. The vintage is not one of their better years.

Without knowing why it doesn't run about the only thing you really know that you are purchasing is the bus body. In most respects it doesn't seem to be in bad shape.

As far as using it as a parts donor for an E-350/450, that is a non-starter.

The problem of swapping in a stickshift into a Ford or GM cut-away chassis is two fold.

First, getting a linkage to work the clutch is going to require a Rube Goldberg arrangement to hang the pedal and operate the clutch.

Second, the gear shift is going to need a really looooooooooong gear shift with a couple of serious bends in it or another Rube Goldberg arrangement since the top of the transmission will be located quite a ways behind the driver.

I do not think Ford or GM offered a stick shift in any of their vans after the early '80's. And if they did they were all 3-on-the-tree and never a floor shift.

Previously there had been talk here about people wanting a stick. I thought someone might be interested for the clutch and transmission for a compatible bus.

I'd like to have a stick too, but in this FE bus it would look silly and I'd have to weld about three stick shifts together to get the shifter up near my seat. I have seen someone accomplish this previously, with the shifter coming out of the floor considerably behind the dog house. Maybe the shifter comes off so you don't have to trip over it all the time while people are getting in and out.

I had a 1970 Chevy Pickup with a 3-on-the-tree. I loved driving that, it was so fun! Too bad you can't get cool options like those anymore.

As I remember it 3 on the tree was some of the sloppiest linkage I've ever dealt with. Sometimes I wasn't sure what gear I was in until I let out the clutch.

the killer is it saying that is does not run and the non-turbo engine, that pretty much means you can not drive it home

I think what people want is a running bus. That bus might as well be on Mars for me. It's worth it for parts alone but what will it cost just to have it towed a short distance.
