Studebaker in SanFran

This is a cute vintage bus but it's gas (i think) and a bit out of my price range. Just thought I'd share...

Re: Studebaker in SanFran

Greetings!!! I bought this bus on Wednesday. She is indeed a pretty good looking bus...

The conversion is nearly 30 years old, so there will be a few changes- but only what is nessesary.
Otherwise my plan is to keep her mostly as she sits.

I will have more to follow as it happens...

Nice! Congratulations on your acquisition - that is one cool looking bus! I don't know if that is the original paint job and you may want to maintain it's original condition, but I could see that bus looking even cooler with a badass paint job. I'm thinking either rat-rod or hippie-mobile.

PS: hood ornament looks cool too - gotta give us a closeup pic of that!

Thanks for the comments.
The paint is not original. It was done up that way a long time ago by the second owners- a Studebaker Club in Phoenix, AZ.
I'm told that it's first owner was a church in Phoenix. I'm trying to get information about it's life with them.

The hood ornament is stock for '49-'53 Stude trucks. (and '48 & '49 cars!!!)
I'll post some pictures in the gallery very soon...
