Hi bus guys and gals! Like can anyone email me or post on here share with me your experience with Tampa Bus Market over in Tampa FL? Has anyone bought a bus from that place, how was it and any reviews? Just curious if anyone has bought from there and how'd they like it. I am considering them over an individual and just wanted some input. Thanks so much, I am so excited to hear!

one of the forum members here boiught a bus from them and had a good experience.. they can chime in.. their prices seem better than other dealers in the area.

I've not heard any good remarks about them since it is expressed here that their prices are 50-100% more than a private sale would bring.

TBM advertises a bunch in the Atl. CL. The cheapest bus they have listed now is a 2000 Int. for $5250. Generally they start around $6500 for buses you guys say are only worth $1500-$2500

I have been trying to buy a bus from TBM just cant find the right engine tranny combo. He seems real nice, very helpful and not pushy. There prices are a little high compared to private sale. But seem lower than most dealers around here. He is negotiable. Also has parts buses. Also has more buses in Dade city. I've been out there a few times too.

What type of bus are you looking for?

These are great responses, thank you, I'm kinda suprised there are so many Skoolies in FL that we don't hear more about that place on here. I found like some have said that many of their prices compared to others seem to be on average or slightly less then what I am finding elsewhere. Of course I find awesome deals on ebay but gosh they are so far away. Got to be a way to find some local without driving across states to get it. I guess I am just soooo scared to buy from an individual b/c I feel like everyone is hiding something, but I don't expect TBM to know 100% of everything about their buses either, so not sure I am any better off. LOL, It's good to ask around ya know!

Most of us who are enthusiasts go to great lengths to get higher spec buses at better prices.
You can buy the same buses a dealer has for way less, they're just a middleman.
Buses from out west are better maintained and higher spec to begin with. Its worth the drive.

This is one of the places we looked when we were shopping for our first bus. I was not impressed.

The yard looked more like a bus graveyard where they were taking 3 bad ones to build a good one. There's value in doing that but I don't think it warrants dealer prices.

User: Dog Rescuer and I both got ours from Tampa Bus Market. Abraham is so great to deal with and I was happy with the prices. Definitely buy with confidence there. Something tells me that I'll be back in the near future to buy another one from him.

I also can add to the positive experience from them - We bought our current bus from them a few years ago. Great experience, guy was super nice and helpful. Yes, we paid more than an auction price, but we got to kick the tires and take multiple buses on test drives before we got the one we did...

I did with my BGA bus, one of them tampa market fixed some stuff for them.

I think I remember someone buying one at TBM for $4500 and having to replace tires, suspension, steering bits immediately.
But hell- $4500 is pretty cheap for a FL dealer.

Seems like others had a much different experience with TBM than I did. Maybe I was there on an off day or something, I got a very different impression of the place than I'm hearing from others.

I would recommend Tampa Bus Market - as mentioned, the ability to test several buses was worth the price. It saved me dealing with auctions - and having to travel to an unknown location to pick up a bus that I never drove and drive it possibly over 500-1000 miles.
My tires in the front needed replacing - and he replaced them for me - no charge.
I have gone back for advice and even some parts to replace - and he was always helpful and accommodating.
However, you are buying a used bus - so even if they were looked over and driven - you can run into issues. But no more than if you bought it from a private sale or auction.
I would buy from Tampa Bus Market again.

in my opinion you got a great bus for a good price too.. 210 HP version of the 444E is unusual to find and you have the Allison 2000 OD trans, im not sure youd have done much better at auction pricewise on a nice bus like yours.

alot of times its all relative.. what you may think of as a high price for a bus may be OK to others.. if you are looking for a $1000 bus a dealer isnt where you go..

When you consider how much it costs us to put a locker tranny in our older buses, it looks like they're just about breaking even by buying from a dealer.
