Tanks for sale

Hi,
I'm new and actually live in a van.
A friend from the vandweller forum suggested I post here.
I got a great deal on seven, new in the box, 'below decks' marine fuel tanks with the fuel gauge sending units.
West Marine usually sells them for $220, I can sell these for $50 plus shipping.
They can handle gas, diesel, waste oil or, maybe, gray water.

The brand name is Tempo and here's the info off a sticker on one of the tanks.
17.5 Gal/ 66.2 L
Cross linked Polyethylene
Nominal thickness 0.190 inches
Max pressure 4.5 psi
For gasoline or Diesel
Part # 640052
Model # TP18TT

I found these links online:
http://www.tempoproducts.com/products.p ... tier=parts
http://www.tempoproducts.com/2004/bd_fuel_tanks1.html

These are taking up way too much room so I need to move them.
Please PM me if your interested.

Thx, John

Re: Tanks for sale

Hi DrJohn,
The postage would likely run between $20 and $25 per tank.
But...
I can't get hold of them right now.
A friend offered to put them in his storage for me, but then he let the rent go over due without warning me.
If I'm able to get them back I'll let you know.

Re: Tanks for sale

Looks like I've gotten lucky.
My friend called today and said the storage unit is payed up till about the 20th of April.
I'll be PM-ing the folks who's already asked about them.
But one way or another, I need to get these to good homes before I lose them again

John

Re: Tanks for sale

I'm in North Dallas, the tanks are in Plano, Tx.
Before Xmas I priced shipping for a guy in Ohio. Shipping would have been about $22 per tank then.

Re: Tanks for sale

Hi John,

Still have any left? Are these the Starboard-side tanks that are id'd in the link? Also, can you tell me if they have any mounting points? Do you know if the floats are actually in the ones you have?

Thanks, Chris

Unfortunately, I still have all seven
The guy who convinced me to buy them in the first place won't answer my emails now.

At least one is a starboard tank, if it's important to you, I can try to get up there and check the other boxes.
I don't remember seeing any mounting tabs, again I'd have to go and look.
And yes, they do have the floats/sending units.

I'm offering these for $50 each (plus shipping). That's about the same price you'd pay for the sending units alone.
I've only got until the 20th to get these moved before the storage place puts them back into lock down so unless folks start jumping on these asap, I'm going to post them on ebay for $75.
