Trade my bus

I would like to trade my 1998 amtran er 72 passenger for a similar ef 72-84 passenger. My bus has 160k ish miles. Dt444e Allison auto trans. New batteries and decent tires. Build plans have changed and I need the ability to build a flatbed on the rear which is not very feasible with the engine back there. Hence the desire to trade for an ef bus.

That shouldn't be so hard. There are people here that bought FE buses that said they couldn't find a RE to buy.

I like a back door, and I've got a lift door on the side.

You saw the flatbed bus recently on a thread here? I think we all appreciated that one.

Oregon. That's what is says on the left. I should be asking where you're from since you didn't fill out your profile.

That's our biggest problem. Location. We get to know each other from all across the country and marvel at the differences between locations on various subjects. Very few of us are actively driving around on the continent. Life gets in the way unless you're ready to let go.

I'm from Tennessee - and for some reason I still can't tell where the OP is posting from.

OP hasn't fully completed his profile yet.

There were lots of people complaining because they couldn't find a pusher just a month or so ago. It looks like a nice bus. That would never make it through my driveway.

I looked for 2 years before buying this bus. At the time I bought it I was planning on just towing my crawler to rides on a 18' trailer. My kids have become more interested so I am needing to be able to haul 2 rigs at a time now. With a front engine I can carry one on the back and tow one.

Looks like it was a good bus choice. Give it a little time for people to find it.

People are going to want to know what engine, transmission and rear end ratio it has. Photos sell.

I don't have anything to trade and am not next door (within reason though...), but curious enough to want to know more specs and any thoughts you might have on selling outright.

Dt 444e Allison 2000 series. 160k and some change on the miles. 72 passenger. I do not know the rear gears. I will have to look. Bus runs great. It still has all the seats I have not started any conversion work yet. I would consider selling outright but not before I find a suitable FE bus to replace this one. I have owned this bus for 2 years made a deal with the wife that I wouldn't start working on it until I finished our house remodel. Well it is finished now and I'm ready to work on a bus but as I' said earlier my needs have changed slightly. My number is 6625718958 if anyone would rather call or text for more info.

This bus is actually a 2001 model. Not sure where I came up with 98.

Shot in the freakin dark but... I have a 1969 Ford Thunderbird I'd trade you for. Trying to sell it right now to get funds for a bus. I reckon that's not what you were aiming for but just in case here's the ad:

Would this be a more appealing deal if the bus was already titled as an rv?
