Unaffiliated 1968 Gillig School Bus For Sale

The seller (Todd) is the guy from whom I bought my Gillig. In my experience, a trustworthy guy...

1968 Gillig School Bus

LOCATED IN SPOKANE, WA
-Strong running 3208 CAT diesel with only 30,000 miles on motor, nice shifting Allison automatic transmission
-Mechanically excellent condition!
-Ready to roll, mileage indicates 166,000 (unsure of actual miles), treadwear on tires good, under belly storage, 75 inch interior roof height, cosmetically needs repaint. Some surface rust along roof line where paint has peeled. Otherwise, pretty solid, heavy duty bus.
-Perfect affordable opportunity for tiny home, tiny house, RV conversion.
-$1000 deposit within 24 hrs, remaining balance paid within 3 days. Accept Paypal. If you need time to pick up, I can arrange that.
-Clear title in hand

Todd tells me "Don't let the cosmetics fool you. Just surface rust where paint is peeling."

You and Marc need to get off your phones and onto a PC.

Seriously though; sorry guys. I just checked my post on a phone and no underlining of hyperlink...

So I see the bus sold last week. $5800 for this bus seems like a fantastic deal. Who is the lucky buyer; a fellow Skoolie.net member?

Seems a fair price to me. Closer to retail I'd say.
One like yours would be worth more. The older ones are, IMO, not quite as desirable. Still cool but you've got a detroit and air ride. This ones got a cat v8 and paint flaking off. Is that dark stuff rust?
