Wanted long wheelbase Vista 3600 early 90s with DT466

Hi guys I'm new to the site, so please be gentle. I'm looking for a long wheelbase Vista 3600, I know they're ugly but I need the snub nose for a project. I would prefer one with a TD466 And not the TD466E, yeah I want the mechanical engine. I'm looking to build a new body for it, so as long as it has a good rust free chassis am interested. I saw quite a few for sale in North Carolina recently, but when you're looking for then they disappear. Great one in Craigslist Ohio but short wheelbase. Feel free to contact me anytime, Thanks for the help, Craig

DT466...
Don't know if they are long wheelbase or not, but there's a couple of 3600's in Calif. on Govdeals.com

I think they're short, but will probably be a great deal

Thanks for the feedback. Problems is that they are short buses. I need a real long wheelbase 3600. It's funny too, because that's the school district that I grew up in, K through 12th grade.
Small world, would've been cool!
Thanks for the help, Craig

I just bought one but I had to get the 466e they sold the last mechanical one the day before I went to get it I think they have 4 left and they have new tires on them and not a spot of rust on them. If you’re still interested here is the website. http://ncschoolbussales.dpi.state.nc.us/ And look on cabarrus county or I can find The paperwork they gave me with all the buses for sale on them and if you buy two you get 25% off both buses.

So what's getting dropped onto the chassis?

And if you are stripping it to a chassis, couldn't you alter the wheelbase to suit your project? Or is the long wheelbase bus you are after also longer overall?

VISTAS ARE NOT UGLY!!

Seriously, people love mine in person. Maybe it's the blue and white paint on a 5 window platform. It's "cute".

There's a bunch of the full length Vistas in northern florida with their roofs chopped up being used to haul produce.

Updated my avatar because it was still yellow and my paint comment doesn't make sense if it's yellow!

When they say it has a bad HPOP that's a $500-$1000+ repair depending on if you do it or pay for it to be done.
