Wanted: Webasto, Espar or similar coolant heater.
Mornin' All,
I had hoped to find a bus with a Webasto factory installed but it did not work out that way so I am considering adding one.
I wonder if anyone out there has one that they are not going to use?
I see them on Ebay but would prefer looking within our community first.
Thanks.

I know it's been a bit since you posted, but I have one I am in process of taking out.... heaters and coolant lines are out of the bus, but the Webasto is still installed, but needs to go. Might make a wicked deal if you're interested.... we are 70miles east of Lewiston Idaho.

Well if PNW_Steve is not interested you could put me next in line.
A trip to pick it up 70 miles east of Lewiston would just be a nice little day trip for me. Let me know what the "wicked deal" would be if so!

Well sounds like a plan! Your 2nd in line then! If he passes, I would be willing to trade all the components for a double axle trailer that would hold my AWD SUV toad. Only stipulation is you gotta pull it out/off and not bugger up our schoolie!!! (cap all lines/wires/hoses/etc). Walla Walla isn't a bad drive....been to the VA Hospital a few times for appts.... it's about 4 hrs or so from there to where the bus is.

Hey Steve, I pulled the rear coolant heater out of my bus and it's been sitting in my garage rusting for about a year now. I don't know if that's what you want, but if you want it I'd give it to you for anywhere between a handshake, some tasty IPA's, or whatever you think is good. I fantasized about using it for a vege oil conversion, but let's be real, I'm a lazy POS with too many projects already. If you want it it's yours. I'd probably peddle it from the back of my restaurant in Federal Way.

Not a great picture. Also not sure if this is what you're looking for. But here it is sitting on the wheel well (right hand side)
Man this bus has come a long way.

I am going to give this one a bump.
I recall seeing several people removing Webasto (or Espar) heaters from their buses. It would appear that as soon as I started looking for one they all disappeared. Just my luck
I have not given up. If you have, or know someone who has, a Webasto or similar heater, that you are not going to use, let me know.
Thanks.
S.

If you recover the drowned unit I may still be interested.

I have one to sell or trade
I removed a webasto system from my 2006 Bluebird vision. I test ran it before removal and it heated right up. I removed and have a complete system, boiler, water pump, rear heater core and dual fan assy, programmable 7 day timer, wire harness, even have the fuel pickup and filter. Oh , also have the original owner/installation/user manual with wiring diagrams , trouble shooting , etc. Make offer, pickup only in SE Iowa. Rick
